This trek is not only famous but also touches the hearts of all the people of Uttarakhand. Gaumukh Tapovan On the way to this trek, there is a grand and picturesque temple of Maa Ganga (Bhagirathi) at a place called Gangotri and at a distance of a few km from the temple is the origin place of Maa Ganga which is adorned with the name of Gaumukh.
- To reach here, you have to go through beautiful Uttarkashi and enjoy the beauty of Bhatwari and reach Gangotri, after which the trek starts from the second day.
